An Open Letter To The Mixed Blood People
To all my brothers, my sisters, my children, my grandchildren,
and all that I have not met yet
I come to you to speak about a matter which is of great importance.
I come praying we will understand the
strength
in
"
Who We Are
"!
So I ask that you and I speak of "
We
"
I would begin with, "It is Time.
It is time for the Mixed Blood People of this Nation to step forward and accept
"
Who We Are
".
We are the, "Mixed Blood People - A Great And Honorable Nation!"
It is time we stop wanting to be something we are not.
No matter how bad we may want, we will never be a full blood of any race.
Let us be happy with
"
Who We Are
".
Let us be happy with who we are! All of "
US
"! That way we can enjoy life.
We do not have to fear discovery or embarrassment, and so we enjoy a
life without fear.
We Mixed Bloods may not have all of our recognition at the moment, but
I want to tell you, "We will get recognition"! How? By the
power of the votes
that exist within the Mixed Blood Nation.
The Native American Mixed Blood Indian is a very large voting Nation on this
continent!
When you add the National figure of 2,786,652 people that registered as American Indian
or Alaska Native to the National figure of 4,307,575 people that registered as
two or more races we have a total of 7,094,227.
In the State of Georgia it is 111,663 people.
These figures are estimated to increase drastically by the year 2010.
Many estimate that more than 1,000,000 people will declare their
Mixed Blood Heritage.
A few have worked on this for many years , and there were those that came
who were great Chiefs. One is John Ross of the Cherokee Nation. He was the
one and only elected Chief of the Cherokees while they were still one Nation.
He carried 1/8 th blood in him. They all worked for their Mixed Blood Nation in
order to obtain the recognition and advancement for their Nation.
We constantly try to gather our people together so that we will be a stronger people,
a stronger Nation, a stronger vote.
We know there are problems, but most of the problems are not with the world, but
with self. Things that we allow to happen in our world, our life, our reality.
We do not want to accept the responsibility for this non-action of ours. That is why we
pay people to do these things for us, but it seems that is not working either, for the
people still are not being heard.
My brothers and sisters, and all my relations, "
You Are The People
"
My grandchildren and their children will be the generations to come.
We will only grow larger and larger. I sometimes wonder if this is the intention of
the Great Mystery for us all. If we are all Mixed Blood-not one blood- and we
love all of us that is inside, all parts of us, no matter how much it is or is not, then we will
have balance. It is through this balance that we will love the
Earth Mother
again, and we
will be able to love others and ourself.
We, the Mixed Blood People of the United States, are a law making body.
The government of the United States , all States, City, and County governments
were established to carry out the wishes of the people. We the people have gotten
lethargic, and we let the governments do what they think and what appears to be the
most logical thing to do at that time. Logic may not be a good thing to apply at all times.
Only the People can decide that.
We are talking politics here, not spirituality, not blood quantum, but the political power
of the vote. Guess What? "We've Got It!" I pray we can understand.
It is time for all the
Native American Mixed Blood People
to step forward and proclaim
in a loud voice, "
We Are Mixed Blood
"! The Government Census will not be around again
for six (6) years. We can not wait six more years. It is time for you to
Come Home
now.
It is time for you to decide where you belong, where you stand.
When you meet Mixed Blood Elders understand where they have been. It is from these
Mixed Blood Elders that you will learn.
I know there are those that would step forward with the intentions or desire to be an
instant Chief, Medicine Man, Holy Man, Clan Mother, Peace Chief, or any of the other
titles that exist in this way of life. This is not the way to come home.
Step forward with the desire to learn from your elders that are here. They will teach you to
step forward with a desire to be yourself.
I am honestly not a very political old man. I do know, "We do control a large number of
votes in this country, if we will only become "ONE"
Life does not have to be difficult. Listen to me my children. You are younger and in
your child bearing years. You are the ones that will bring the grandchildren into the world.
The grandchildren, the next generation, follows you and your example. I ask of you to bring
the grandchildren and their generations to come, and for you to "
Come Home
Now
".
It is Time!
Come home with a willingness and desire to walk in a good way so that the people may live.
Come home with the intention of being truthful in all things so that the voice of the people will
be
strong
and
binding
.
Come home with the intention of seeking wisdom so that the people may walk in the light.
Come home with the need to love and be loved so that the people may once again become a family.
Come home with a hunger for knowledge, a need to share, and a willingness to be selfless so that the
people may finally become one.
So let us become this nation of the people, for the people, and by the people without War.
Let us become this Nation, so that others will see us walk in a good way, and they will see that
we can affect the outcome of all things. "

You must be the one that makes that decision to come home.
Do not come seeking recognition, but come seeking acceptance. Come in a humble way.
I ask you as an Elder in the most humble way I know, "
COME HOME
!"
We Elders do not want to argue or fight with you, and we do not want to be greater than you.
We only wish to share with you what we know. One day we will start our great spirit walk and
with us will go our knowledge, our ceremonies, and our traditions. We wish to give all this to
our generations to come, but in order for this to happen you must "
COME HOME
!"
